About Tarrytown Functional Medicine
Tarrytown Functional Medicine brings together the best of traditional and complementary medicine to offer a complete approach to wellness called Functional Medicine. Whether you’re suffering from a specific ailment or are looking to improve your health more generally, we’ll concentrate on your overall well being, not just a particular symptom or disease.
In Functional Medicine we look at the whole body as a system in which all the organs depend on each other and are interrelated. We use laboratory and nutritional testing to find out the underlying causes of the symptoms you are experiencing. Then we make an individualized program to correct the imbalances and deficiencies.
This might consist of medications, supplements, weight loss and diet programs, or natural pain management consisting of acupuncture and frequency specific micro-current, depending on what you need.
The power is in the in the accuracy of the testing and the combination of traditional and holistic approaches.
If you have existing health challenges, we look to identify and treat underlying issues that may be contributing to the severity of your condition. If you’re essentially healthy, we focus on identifying imbalances that might be preventing you from feeling your best, and spotting risk factors that could cause illness in the future.
We take a holistic approach to medicine and offer many services.
We can measure the terrain of the gastrointestinal tract, antioxidant vitamins, toxic elements, fatty acids, amino acids, and markers of oxidation, toxic exposures, detoxification, and adrenal stress.
Functional Lab Testing
We use laboratory testing to find the underlying causes of the symptoms you are experiencing. Then we make an individualized program to correct the imbalances and deficiencies.
By observing the skin, we can assess many factors which effect the body’s state of health, including nutrition, toxicity, stress, accelerated aging, and exercise, or lack of it.
Acupuncture is an essential part of traditional Oriental Medicine, which works with the natural vital energy called chi, inherent within all living things, to promote the body’s ability to heal itself.

Dr. Fetell is the first person who has given me a prescription for my face that has actually worked! In one appointment I have gotten better results than the countless visits with other doctors. Highly recommended!
People have stopped me and said, “What are you doing?” After all the diets I’ve done, this one’s the one that really works. Dr. Fetell has helped me through my weight loss and motivated me. She can help anyone lose weight!
This is the last time we’ll get together for acupuncture because I’m all better! I took a four-hour drive without pain at all in my neck and back. I wouldn’t have believed it! I highly recommend you for acupuncture!
